The song of "Give thanks" from the heart of Ju Ju Lay
Most of Christians have known this song already. I would like to depict this song as reflected in my life with some lyrics that God has written in my heart.
" Give thanks with a grateful heart ----"
I gave thanks to God to know him and His love more and more. Day by day, He( God) draws me nearer to Him.
For the very first time, I've started to know Jesus as the Lord of Christians in Judson Church in 1979.They praised Him with Hymns in English. I understood only one or two words of them because of my laziness in studying English. Nowadays, I know Him as my Savior Jesus Christ though I am weak in English . Therefore I give thanks him with a grateful heart.
"Give thanks to the Holy One----------"
Why should I give thanks to the Holy One( the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY )?
I have got one poem which is written by an unknown person. That poem would be my answer for this question.
" God did not promise days without pain,
laughter without sorrow or sun without rain.
But God did promise
strength for the day, comfort for the tears and a light for the way."
He saved my daughter and some of our friends from the earthquake of Japan in 2011. God also saved my father and to whom we prayed to recover from intensive care.
"Give thanks because He 's given Jesus Christ His son--------"
God sent His one and only son Jesus to redeem us (save our soul) from eternal hell.
John 3:16;" For God so love the world that he gave his one and only son, that whoever
believe in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
"And now let the weak say I am strong----"
My weaknesses are for His glory to be shone on earth.
"Let the poor say I am rich----"
At first, I thought this lyric means the poor will become the rich person.
Now, my point of view is " in Christ we are fulfilled". This is real richness.
"Because of what the lord has done for us -- give thanks----. "
What has the LORD done for us? The LORD gave His son Jesus to save our soul from eternal death. He's also given His name and the name of Jesus to answer our prayers.
